Zera Childcare Foundation is a Lagos-based non-governmental organisation committed to ensuring that vulnerable children receive the medical care they need regardless of what their families can afford.
Our Story
Born from compassion.
Built on purpose.
Zera Childcare Foundation did not begin with a strategy. It began with a question a question that refused to go away: What happens to children whose parents cannot afford treatment when illness strikes?
That question became a calling. In 2021, the Foundation was established to stand in the gap for vulnerable children and their families to ensure that a child's chance at life is never reduced to a matter of finances.
Today, we operate with hands-on presence in government hospital paediatric units across Lagos, carrying that original calling forward one child at a time.

Who We Serve
Children who need us most.
We focus our support on children aged 0–17 from low-income families who are currently receiving treatment in government-owned hospitals in Lagos State.
We prioritise children who require medical interventions that are treatable or manageable surgeries, medications, diagnostic tests, and scans and families who have been unable to pay outstanding hospital bills even after discharge.
